Book Review: Unruly Julie by Alan Moss

Unruly Julie  by Alan Moss  is a children's picture book with an expected publication date of January 28, 2025. This rhyming kids book is about a girl named Julie who gets herself into trouble by being mischievous before finally realizing she wants to behave like a proper little girl. I'd like to thank NetGalley and Troubador Publishing Ltd. for providing me with an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Unruly Julie  for free in exchange for my honest review. I found the title and cover of the book to be quite catchy and wanted to see what it was all about, and it didn't disappoint. The content of the story was quite catchy and memorable, and the illustrations were quite fun. The lesson was a passive lesson that I hope children will pick up on as it's an important one. Product Review: Calvin Klein Pop Top Fingerless Gloves

While window shopping at Macy's Department Store, I wandered into their Backstage department to have a look around. Not really having anything in mind that I really needed, I came across some Calvin Klein Pop Top Fingerless Gloves. There were two colors available, powder blue and mauve.

Checking the price, they were normally $34.00 and on sale for $11.99. With a cold front that had come into town that morning, I thought I should go ahead and purchase a pair as they would be great to wear the next day when I would be taking my morning walk. The low was supposed to be in the twenties. It was a tough decision, but I decided to go with the gloves in powder blue.

The next morning, I got dressed and put on my new Calvin Klein Pop Top Fingerless Gloves in powder blue. It was a brisk twenty-nine degrees Fahrenheit outside. What I loved about these gloves is that I was able to use my Fitbit App, and then cover my fingers with the top of the gloves that came unbuttoned, folded over my fingers, and created a mitten. My walk only lasted twenty-two minutes and was a little over a mile, but my fingers were kept toasty warm.

I was extremely happy with my purchase. So much so that I went back to Macy's to purchase another pair . . . this time in mauve. I seriously considered buying several more pairs to give out as Christmas gifts in December. These gloves are very nice and can be dressed up or down. Five out of five stars is what I give Calvin Klein's Pop Top Fingerless Gloves.

Hidden Beneath (Maine Clambake Mystery, #11) by Barbara Ross is the story about Julia and her mother Jacqueline attending a memorial service on Chipmunk Island for Ginny, who was an old friend of Jacqueline.  When something seems off at the memorial, Julia decides to delve into the cold case of Ginny, and in the process of the investigation, a murder takes place on the island. Book Review: The Dare by Natasha Preston

The Dare by Natasha Preston is a young adult horror novel about Marley and her friends Atlas, Lucia, and Jesse are seniors in high school.  The senior pranks are fun and lighthearted until Rhett starts doling out dares that are more serious.  Will Marley and her friends survive? A huge thank you to NetGalley for the Advanced Readers Copy of The Dare  by Natasha Preston.  The last book I read by this author was so well written, I knew I wanted to give her latest story a try. The first thing I noticed about the story is it's reminiscent of R.L.
