The Classified Catnapping (Mystery at the Biltmore, #2) by Colleen Nelson is the second book in a a children's book series about a girl named Elodie who has her own detective agency called the LaRue Detective Agency. In this latest edition, a movie is being filmed at the Biltmore in New York City, and the lead actor, a cat named Bijou, is missing. Can Elodie find the missing cat before it's too late? I'd like to thank NetGalley and Pajama Press for approving my request to read The Classified Catnapping (Mystery at the Biltmore, #2) and providing me an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC). I received a copy of this children's book for free in exchange for my honest review. Oh my goodness! I absolutely fell in love with this book. It's super cute and perfect for children between the ages of five years old and eight years old who enjoy whodunits. Surprisingly, the characters are very well developed for a book targeted to younger children, which isn't something you typica...

Influenster.com sent me a VoxBox that had a full size bottle of Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner. It is supposed to promote an "Invigorated Scalp and Shiny Hair" and is infused with yuzu and mint essence. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review of the product.
Who doesn't enjoy getting something for free to try out? I definitely enjoy and appreciate being able to test out free products. There were a few things I enjoyed about this Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner.
It definitely made my scalp tingle, but in a good way. I could tell it was doing its job to keep me from having dandruff. Normally, when I use shampoo and conditioner that are combined into one product, it doesn't detangle my hair, but the Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 did a great job in conditioning my hair. On top of that, it left my hair looking very shiny and soft to the touch. The product also had a nice smell to it, which reminds me of a drink called a fuzzy navel. I was worried about the shampoo and conditioner combo leaving my hair looking greasy, but my hair was left looking very clean. I was able to get away with washing my hair every other day as well, which was a nice surprise as I have very oily hair near the scalp and dry hair towards the bottom.
The downfalls of this product is that if there is any humidity in the air, it does not help with keeping the frizz out of your hair. It also doesn't help with giving your hair any volume, and since I have very fine hair, I definitely need help in that department. The last thing that I didn't like is that when my hair was still wet or damp, it felt like there was a film or residue in my hair, almost like I didn't wash out all of the product. However, once my hair is dry, it feels completely fine.
All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives by a landslide. I would definitely recommend using this product if you suffer from dandruff. Just make sure to use an additional product if your hair tends to frizz when it is humid outside.
Here is the video to the product reveal of when we received the Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner in the mail.
The Dare by Natasha Preston is a young adult horror novel about Marley and her friends Atlas, Lucia, and Jesse are seniors in high school. The senior pranks are fun and lighthearted until Rhett starts doling out dares that are more serious. Will Marley and her friends survive? A huge thank you to NetGalley for the Advanced Readers Copy of The Dare by Natasha Preston. The last book I read by this author was so well written, I knew I wanted to give her latest story a try. The first thing I noticed about the story is it's reminiscent of R.L. Stine's Fear Street series, which brought back all the feels from my childhood. Pretty quickly, the storyline shifts and is eerily similar to the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer . It's at this point that I became disappointed with the book and almost stopped reading it. Additionally, there were other parts t hat reminded me of The Secret Diaries by Janice Harrell. So, overall, The Dare wasn't ...
One particular weekend night, I was watching television, and a commercial came on advertising Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist. In the ad, it mentioned that it would take off grime and dirt after spraying it on the surface and wiping it off with a simple swipe. It went on to mention that it could be used in the bathroom, and I thought, "I really need to try this product on my bathtub." Excited, I couldn't wait to buy it and looked for it at the grocery store the next day while I was getting my weekly groceries. I wasn't expecting to actually find it in stores yet because it usually takes the stores in my area a few weeks to get products in stock after I see it advertised on television. Much to my surprise and delight, my local Kroger Grocery Store actually had the Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist in stock and in no less than two scents. I grabbed the Gain Scent bottle and stuck it in my grocery cart. Eventually, I decided to use it to cle...
Dirty Thirty (Stephanie Plum, #30) by Janet Evanovich is the latest installment in the Stephanie Plum book series and opens with Joe Morelli asking Stephanie to dog sit his dog Bob while he is out of town testifying at a trial. The typical chaos ensues when Stephanie has to bring Bob along to apprehend all of her FTAs and has her asking herself if she wants to be married. Each book in this series typically follows the same formula and is wrapped up in a neat, tidy bow at the end. It's because of this that I enjoy the series . . . I always know that Stephanie is going to get herself into some sort of trouble and need Ranger or Morelli to help her, and the bad guy is always caught. Sometimes, I just need something familiar and predictable to read. And, I don't mean that in a bad way either because it allows me to escape reality and gives me a few chuckles along the way. It's like the comfort food of books for me. The last few books I felt like someone had g...
