Book Review: Bridal Shower Murder (Lucy Stone, #31) by Leslie Meier

Bridal Shower Murder (Lucy Stone, #31)  by Leslie Meier  opens with Lucy Stone rushing home to clean house for Zoe who is bringing home her boyfriend Chad. While there, Zoe and Chad announce their engagement but want to keep it a secret for a bit.  When a nosy busybody named Janice gets the best of Lucy, the mother of the bride blurts out Zoe's secret. Chaos ensues with a murder and an overdose. NetGalley, thank you for approving me to receive an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Bridal Shower Murder .  I've come to love Leslie Meier's Lucy Stone cozy mystery series and know that I will automatically read any book in this series without reading the synopsis. I have to say that this was one of the best stories in the series for multiple reasons. The first reason is that Lucy's husband isn't quite so sexist, which is refreshing for a change. I dislike it when he acts like a caveman who expects Lucy to be a housewife and wait on him hand and foot. What really surprised me...

Product Review: OPI Infinite Shine 2, Do You Sea What I Sea

product review OPI Infinite Shine 2

Last weekend, I decided to paint my finger nails for the first time in a long time. Normally, I have them done professionally, but I thought it was something I could do myself instead shelling out money every couple of weeks for someone else to do.

The main color I decided to use was Do You Sea What I Sea by OPI. It is part of their Infinite Shine line, which is shinier than their regular line, and it's a little pricier. I purchased it at Sally Beauty Supply, and it cost $12.99, plus tax.

When I painted my nails, I first began with one coat of OPI Formaldehyde Free Start to Finish Base Coat, Top Coat, & Strengthener. I let it dry for a few minutes before applying one coat of the OPI Infinite Shine 2, Do You Sea What I Sea. I did use Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Lacquer, I'm From the Fuschia on my middle fingers. After letting my nails dry again, I applied a second coat of nail polish and let them dry yet again before applying OPI Formaldehyde Free Start to Finish Base Coat, Top Coat, & Strengthener again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well my nails turned out and love how they looked. What surprised me the most was when I held my nails up next to my parent's car, the blue nail polish matched the paint on the car exactly. The polish lasted very well on my nails, even with my obsessive hand washing. I didn't do any heavy duty cleaning while I had the polish on, so I don't know how well it would hold up if you don't wear gloves while cleaning your home.

Last night, I did decide to change up my nail polish with some different colors, so I'll let you know what I think about those in another post. I used some super cute colors again. Stay tuned!

Five out five stars is what I give OPI Infinite Shine 2, Do You Sea What I Sea because it is super shiny, does not glob when you put it on your nails, and held up in water. And, of course, it looks absolutely fabulous on my nails. What are you waiting for? Go get some OPI Infinite Shine 2 Nail Polish right now . . . you won't be disappointed.
